A simple press and hold of the knob powers the device on or off, while detented rotation allows for precise gain adjustments. Double-tapping activates the onboard IR illuminator, accompanied by a convenient in-view indicator. Users can also tap the knob to deactivate the illuminator and adjust its brightness to their preference while active. Additionally, the knob provides the option to enable or disable the auto-off feature when stowed. A low battery indicator keeps users informed when it’s time for a replacement. The Talon is fully compatible with standard EGAC MX-11769 image intensifier tubes and 3-pad MX-11769 European-style tubes, requiring no modifications. It accommodates standard PVS-14 mounting J-arms and accessories for versatility. The monocular ships with a CR123A battery cap, while AA and CR2 caps are available for seamless swapping using the existing battery cap lanyard. Its interchangeable image tube pod is also compatible with the Talon and Raptor binocular product lines.
